Who Are We?

Australian Hazara Students Group, formerly known as SHUUA, is a not- for- profit voluntary student group that aims to foster tertiary education among young Australian Hazaras.  It was established in 2009 in response to the demands and needs of Hazara students in South East Melbourne in regards to their effective and productive integration into Australian schools, colleges and universities.

Why Was SHUUA Formed?

Upon migrating to Australia, people of our community face numerous challenges. People of every age find it quite challenging and at times very tough adjusting to their new lives in a new country. The youth in particular face a huge amount of challenges. Understanding the education system of Australia, learning English, being ableto understand their peers  and communicate with the people around them, understanding the Australian culture and way of life, and understating their responsibilities are just some of the areas that have a big impact on the way these young men and women integrate into the Australian system. These are exactly the sort of problems AHSG members faced when they first came to Australia.

Constitution
